My brother had an affair and now the other woman is pregnant, what can he do?

He came forward to me about his issue. My older 40 year-old brother had an affair and the other woman is pregnant.

The problem is I get along with my SIS (I'm good friends with his wife) and she's going to file divorce for sure once she finds out. Their son (only child) just turned 18 last month. I don't know much about why he did it, just that he is remorseful at this moment and is in a big mess. What can he do?

he can't do anything. not even sorry or apologizing or trying to work through it will help. he has to accept it and what he did. but now that their son is 18, he won't have to pay child support so there's that for him i guess. but now he has a new child.

Yeah my SIL will find out soon and he'll have to deal with the aftermath of the divorce, being responsible for the baby and his 18 year-old son being upset with him for a while. He's in a messy position.

You don't always get opportunities to undo your mistakes. All he can do is take responsibility for his actions and the consequences. And perhaps learn a few lessons.

He's sad that it's going to cost him a divorce and probably his son will be upset with him once he finds out about it too. He doesn't know how to prepare himself for the aftermath of the divorce.

The best way to deal with temptation is to avoid it. . . because of these types of situations. No amount of regret or remorse undoes the harm that has been done. The only positive spin he can put on the situation is to take the initiative and tell everyone instead of waiting for them to find out by some other means.

The other woman wants to keep the baby so he's going to pay support. Then he has to be ready to get a divorce for sure. His wife isn't ever going to forgive him for that.
