Supposedly my male cousin wasn't the type to care for babies too much and liked his freedom when he was younger. When his then fiance (now wife) gave birth 7 months ago and it was a baby girl, he melted. For a tough man, that's the first time I saw breaking down in tears when he held the baby for the first time. I was surprised. He literally cried.
I can only tell from a woman's point of view of growing a human inside, feeling their kicks, seeing the human coming out and the nurse giving you the baby in a warm blanket. What about for you men that have kids? How does it feels like being a first time dad? What's your experience like?

I had known him as a tough steel, hard to break and yet he melted.

It was frightening. I had been married for less that a year and was still adjusting to married life. I did not know how to deal with the responsibility. We just bought a house and I did not make a lot of money and all of a sudden I was responsible for a wife and a son. I sort of warmed up to it but it was tough.
I can imagine but eventually you got used to it. Now your child must be all grown up and I'm sure he's your greatest happiness.
I had 3 kids in 3 years and 3 months. They are all grwn. The youngest finished college 3 years ago. I am glad I had them.
I imagine it would be an amazing experience.
yeah it must be wonderful
