How to deal with a bitchy older sister and your parents always taking her side?

she is a complete and utter bitch to me and my parents always say I am asking for attention and blowing things out of proportion... she tends to do things when they are not around and then of course typically walk in when I am reacting... so I look like the bitch

I've seen this happen between two of my siblings before.

What I told the younger one is...to not react so violently, and politely and calmly tell mom/dad what he/she is doing.

Parents tend to fall into this trap of wanting quiet in the home, and reacting impulsively on the "loud" one to "maintain the quiet" in the home once again. Since YOU are the one seen being reactive, YOU are reacted against, not your sister.

so I am in college in new york and my sister got married and doesn't live at home anymore, and this was never so bad until we both moved away.

and its litterally every time we are together there is always fighting adn I think another reason my parents react to me is because I am not married and they feel they can't yell at her in front of her husband

Otherwise, a hard smack across the face and a roll of duck tape will probably get her to shut up...

just take a deep breath , make sure you're emotionally in control once you're talking to your parents and if your parents are smart, they're figure it out.

Well the question is what is she doing? If your parents are on her side, they either favor her incorrectly, or you are genuinely in the wrong. We can't help you deal with it unless we know which one this is.
