What men and women "2 through 8s" look like, according to some.

I don't think it's accurate.

The first guy who looks like an "8" is barely a 5 in my opinion.
The first girl who's an "8" is more like a 6 to me; barely even attractive.
The first girl who's a "7" is more like a 4 to me.
The two guys who are a "5" are vastly different in looks to me.
The second guy who's a "4" is more like a 6 to me.
The first girl who's a "4" is a 6 to me.
The second girl who's a "3" is more like a 5 to me.
I don't think there's much of anything on here I agree with.

I don't know what "accurate" even means but my personal tastes don't exactly line up that way.

The 8 girl on the right seems very charming and relatable to me but maybe less so the one to her left. I find the 7 on the left very cute and relatable less than the one on the right, at least with that expression on her face. The 6 on the left is unappealing to me at least with that expression, while the right seems to at least be smiling and friendly.

Both of the 5s seem relatable and nice to me and better than the 6s. The 4s are kind of goofy-looking but cute, especially the right one, in ways that I want to put above average. Maybe what is considered the 3s and 2s aren't my types unless I really got to know them and overlook this photo impression.

I should probably never be a beauty pageant judge but the main thing I'm looking for in faces is relatability and communication, not conforming as much to the most canonical ideas of beauty. I wouldn't say I'm entirely divorced from beauty canons, but at least considerably more so than people who think what makes a face attractive are things like symmetry or eye/nose/mouth placement and size to be the dominating factor rather than relatability.

In my opinion, on the female side:

The first 7 is the most attractive.
The first 8 is second most attractive.
Both are 8s to me.

The rest I don't find attractive, but I would order them like this
Second 8 is a 6
First 6 is a 5
Second 7 and second 4 are both 4s
Second 5 and second 6 are both 3s
The rest are 2s

if 1, 9 and 10 were on the scale, first 7 is a 10, first 8 is a 9, and anything I labeled as a 2 is a 1.

I excluded the numbers 10, 9 and 1 from my scaling because the chart did.

IMHO the ratings for the women look pretty accurate. The guys' ratings are messed up.

I don't like to do physical ratings. They're too subjective, and can change from one day to the next fir the same person.

but I don’t really like the idea of assigning numbers to a bunch of people who don’t even know that we’re talking about them.

I agree entirely with the 2's. But it gets really jumbled after that. A woman with a genuine smile vs. One who's not not can make a big difference in how attractive she comes off. Who would be attracted to someone who appears "unpleasant"?

I think the chart gets some of them wrong but is more or less accurate. I also think you’re a tough grader. You have a talent for art, so perhaps you have a keen eye that sees shortcomings.
