What Do You Wear To Exercise?

At the studio I go to, it seems like everyone wears the same thing: Girls wear black leggings and and a tank top, usually in the color blue for some reason, and guys wear black shorts and a grey t-shirt usually.

I and one other are the only ones who dare to wear patterned/bright colored clothing. Lol

I exercise on my bike, so I wear what I'm wearing for a summer day in my garden doing chores: Board shorts, Ts. I have a dozen pairs of board shorts in most colors and some patterns. It's not ACed where I work, in a warehouse, or outside, so I wear as little as possible, and lightweight wear that wicks away sweat and dries quickly.

Though I enjoy color and interesting patterns, I have to look hard for great looking shorts. However, board shorts, make for surfers and skateboarders, are pretty exciting looking. I buy them on sale at the end of the summer and get good deals. Otherwise, good looking board-length shorts can be $75-100.

If. you wear a solid short, you can juzz it up with a great-looking hawaiian style shirt or wild top. I live in the Gulf South, so if you wear pale colors in summer, you'll disappear into to the heat waves rising from the pavement. Loads of people wear color down here. Makes sense. Don't wanna be hit by a heat exhausted driver. And ALL the drivers are heat exhausted.

I wear so many shades of whatever is out there when I’m working out. One time, I ran in my full pink outfit from head to toe. 🤣 who needs reflective gear when you got hot pink!

People are afraid of colours, that is why. In winter, literally every girl wears a black or white puffer coat. Every summer, white or black crop tops. Every fall, the same blue or black jean jacket.

Movies nowadays all have the same bloody gray muddy hues. It's probably why the Barbie film is gonna be so popular. It's the first live action colourful film in a long long while.

I've gone against this and have every colour imaginable in my closet, including my workout clothes.

Black basketball shorts

One of many shirts. Most often its a winter camoflage Nike shirt. Athletic material not cotton. Cause working out in cotton is a death sentence.

And compression shorts. I have quite a few in many colors, styles, and patterns. Gotta add the flair somewhere.

Depends on where I am, if I'm going to a public gym I usually wear a matching set, but its always a tank top, either regular, stringer, or one with the large armholes that show my sides.

Jogging outside, school gym - shorts and shirtless

Martial arts - uniform pants and jacket, or just pants and shirtless.

If I'm exercising at home I'm almost always nude. I rarely go to the gym, just for physical therapy for a shoulder injury, and those appointments are in the middle of the work day so my work uniform unfortunately.

I wear gym shorts and a tshirt for my cardio workout. Afterwards I change my t shirt because it is soaked through and put a sweat shirt that I cut the wristers off of to finish my workout.
