Why does he flirt then pull away?

I've known this guy for a few months we've been flirty with each other the whole time. He flirts with me a lot actually! But the past couple days his kinda been different. Hast really been flirty. He would always stop by my office and see me and sit and talk with me but he hasn't. He would say flirty things and touch me but he hasn't been. I even went and watched him compete in a rodeo (which his friend invited me to not him) and he was friendly but just wasn't his usual flirty self. So what's his deal? Is he not interested anymore?
