New guy at work hugged me when we first met- what does that mean?

Yesterday we got a new guy. I was on my break and the guy comes into the break room and ask if he can sit next to me and I said sure. We made some small talk he randomly asked me what my zodiac sign was. He was really nice and friendly when I break was over he said "it was really nice to meet you" and gave me a hug.

I like hugs but it was little unexpected especially when nobody in my workplace really gives each other hugs. What could this mean? Could it be that he was just being friendly or flirty? 🤔

where does he comes from? some people especially like europeans are used to do that... (friendly) and it doesent mean anything its just a common thing to do to a woman
