Crush on a random stranger?

Hi everyone, first time posting on here so here goes! :)

Just wondering if any of you have ever had a crush on a random stranger?

I have, and I need your advice.

There's this girl (probably in her early 20's.. I'm 21 btw) that I've noticed jogging past my place several times over the past few weeks.

She always seems to go past (down the road and then back up) around the same time I get home from work..

Usually she's concentrating on where she's going, but the other day when I walked out near the road to get the mail she looked over my way, I nodded and smiled and she smiled back.

She looks like a really nice person, of course what would I know, since I've not talked to her or anything so I wouldn't have a clue what she's really like.

Any ideas on how I could get to meet her and possibly strike up a conversation? And even find out whether she's single or not?

Mmm, If I were in this situation, I would jog right along side her as she is passing by (since there really is no other way of talking to her while she is jogging), and say something like 'mind if I join you?'

And as you come to a stop and are making conversation, you might want to throw in 'Hey, I'm actually looking for a jogging partner, want to meet up same time, here, tomorrow? That way, you aren't talking about dates just yet, and making her feel uncomfortable, but are still making some kind of plan.

Ease into it that way. Eventually ask her to meet you for lunch or whatever, and see if she's single.

That great advice that's what I would do in your case even if you are not using your jogging outfit it would be funny, go for it.

Great idea, it hadcrossed my mind, but not sure whether it would look creepy/stalkerish if I randomly started jogging along side!

Also, wth @BPMon? Are you talking about what AllisonA said? If so, just get off this topic already, I don't care if someone replying uses long sentences. If you were talking about not using long sentences while chatting to the chick jogging, I think that goes without saying. Jogging + conversation == short of breath ~ short sentences.

jog with her.. then you automatically have something in common so it'll be easy to start off there

Just, Don't compliment her when you first approach her.

You can talk about the weather, or the area, or the day, or make a joke about something... anything to start small talk, but don't compliment her.

You can compliment her after a while of talking. Like if she invited you to sit with her, or you sense she is enjyoing the conversation... then you can say.. "you have a beautiful smile", or "you have beautiful eyes"... things like that are sweet, not creepy. If you straight up say "you are beautiful", its not creepy, its a cliche.

That's difficult, I've been in that situation before, And to be honest I don't think there's anything that can really be done except stop her and talk to her for a minute or two each day. (Try not to act like a stalker or a pedo though).

i think you should have the courage to stop her and ask her out if she said then you get what you want and if she said no you won't be losing anything
