My girlfriends best friend just dumped her boyfriend of one year, I feel so bad for them but they were fighting... Is there any chance that this could increase my probability of getting dumped also?

On a large scale of statistics, yes. Social groups which were initially stable but then have a divorce amongst its ranks will then have knockon effects.

But on the micro-level, it can have 3 effects: none, her dumping you or her becoming more attached as she fears you dumping her.

You have to be careful. Showing you've been affected by the other breakup and then getting all lovey-dovey and needy with her will probably repulse her.

No actually this will mostly help your relationship because as your girlfriend sees that her friend is going through a really hard time and watching her suffer. She won't want to see herself in that situation so she'll probably want to make your relationship better so the chances of you and her breaking up are less likely.
