It's a week today since the first meeting/date/hangout. He hasn't asked to see me for a second date. And I actually thought he would,we had so much in common,such a good time!

I think if he wanted to he would've asked to see me again by now. A week is long enough. I know some of you might say why don't I ask him out and I would..I'm just not sure if I should,I mean there's no reason he wouldn't ask me out if he wanted to see me so if I ask him out he would probably say no...Am I right? Am I over-analyzing? Probably.

I fear rejection (duh.)

Your thoughts...Please anyone HELP!

Its hard to say. I don't know enough about either of you to gauge the situation, but if its any help I experienced something similar. My buddy hooked-up a date between a co-worker of his and myself. She was smokin' hot and pretty cool, though too young and immature (18), to be honest. So, I took her out for a nice lunch and we had a successful date. No real awkward moments, some commonalities, etc. Anyway, I would have asked her out again, but for some reason I just didn't. I was really busy with school and for some reason I just wasn't in the mood for a while. So, after two weeks my buddy informed me that she had gotten back together with her ex.

It wasn't her, it was me, as cliché as that sounds.

So, maybe he just has a lot of other things on his mind. Maybe you shouldn't take offense by it or feel rejected or sub-par and just accept it and move on.

Well, I am in some what of a similiar situation but with one twist. I don't think not having another date set up a week after the first date is bad, but more so if he has contacted you, saying he had a great time and what not. I have a dude and we went out on a first date and its 1 mth later and we are having our 2nd this weekend, but he made sure he kept in contact with me over the course of the month. You should text and say hey I had a really great time or something along those lines and see what he says, maybe he is shy or just not ready, whatever the case find out, it will definately cease all the confusion so you can either pursue or move on. No,don't you ask him out,you just forget about him, because he have lost a good lady,it's his lost not yours! Asking him out,make you seem like your desperate and men don't like that. Stay strong and your man will come along and be confident about who you are! Good Luck!
