Flirt with a guy friend who broke up a year ago?

I know a guy from college, we were friends since then (10 years ago). we met each other after 6 years about 5 months ago. since then he started to flirt with me, but i didn't know what to do because we were friends! I understood that he broke up with his girlfriend about last year after a long term relationship (6 years). now i don't know what to do because i started to like him but these things put me in a doubt that he is not ready for a relationship. I know his ex too because she was from our college too and she moved to another country last year. today i saw that this guy commented on her post for her birthday. should i do something about this crush or leave it behind? I thought that because i don't show any hints, he doesn't make any move.
