He rejected me and now he's interested?

Hey guys thanks for coming to my question. I would appreciate any feedback you have on my situtation..

So last year there was this guy that I had a crush on. I liked him very much.. and sadly no matter how hard I try to move on, I cant! its imossible. seriously.

But anyway last year I was rejected by him.. and to be honset we didn't know eachother taht well.. and I wasn't the prettiest girl in the grade ( yikes)

But this year, I changed my look alot, and I feel a lot more confident, and I have a lot more friends now. People actually know who I am, you know? So I started having fun and hanging out with people and I forgot about my crush and just slowly started paying less attention to him. But I do still like him. Now all of a sudden he's showing me signs that he's interested. His friends will push him towards me, hell get really quiet around me, try to walk near me, and really only looks at me afar.. So I have no idea why he's all of a sudden interested now..

Im very proud of who I am now and the way I look, and guys do like me now, but it makes me mad because why wasn't I good enough for him the first time?

I know its wrong but I really do like this guy. And I'm just thinking there's a reason that I can't stop, because maybe we ARE meant to be together? he's a pretty shy guy but very unique and different and that is what I like about him.

Any input on my situation right now?

He did say some very mean things about me last year, that made me look pretty bad.

Ever since I've noticed these signs I've been trying to talk to him at lunch, but this girl always comes up and starts talking to him. But I always debate.. should I go up there and talk to him? Or will he think I'm desperate for him and that I like him?

Firstly, no two people are 'meant' to be together. I strongly believe in the fact that couples find each other through a whole lot of chance, good timing, and simply being compatible. It could be a few things as to why you weren't 'good enough' for him the first time around. Considering the fact that you're only 17 and I assume he's around the same age, boys at that age make their decisions regarding girls largely regarding looks.

Regardless of the fact that inside you're the same person, if he sees that you're attractive as well as more outgoing/popular, that's what will initially get his attention rather than just having a great personality. Whether or not you should start going towards making a move on him, it depends what you're looking for. If it's enough for you to have him because your feelings for him are so strong, then sure, no harm. However, if you want to be in a relationship with him for the actual companionship and such, then it's probably not a good idea. Not too generalize all boys, but to find a good one who will treat you well & respect you as a person that'll come more around age 20 when boys are just about done puberty & maturing for the most-part.

why do you want to date a guy that rejected you & said really bad things about u? also it seems to me that your crush on this guy overshadows everything which isn't good at all. sometimes us girls make mistakes because we're so in awe of a guys looks, body, touch etc & we ignore everything else & focus on just that. I wouldn't give him a chance especially since he talked trash about me. That's low. But whatever choice you choose I just hope its the right one for your sake! :)
