I really don’t.
I have a friend (more like acquaintance, but…anyways…) who wants me to get drunk tonight, and I am not down for that at all. 😭
I said hecc nahhhh
He ain’t catching me drinking like that, anymore. 🤣🤣🤣
Getting drunk does NOT feel good at all. I don’t see the hype. Give me a glass of wine, and I am gucci. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

I enjoy it far too much. I'm on a dare from my buddy, @lightbulb27, not to drink at all today or tomorrow (so far so good). I want to cut down substantially on my alcohol consumption.

Well, I'm not sure if I enjoy being drunk. I think when I feel best is the tipsy stage where you're just a little bit happier, find things a little bit funnier than usual, and care just a little bit less about what other people think.

I can usually get in that pleasant tipsy stage and stay there for a good 4 hours or so. For example, if I start drinking at 10 PM, I'll usually be reasonably sober and just slightly tipsy until around 2 AM. I don't slam shot after shot. I actually drink quite slowly (say one drink every 15-30 mins).

The problem is that after 4 hours or so of drinking when I'm starting to transition from tipsy to the sloppy drunk stage, I don't want to quit drinking. So I keep going after 2 AM, and I start getting increasingly silly, and then by 4 AM or 5 AM, I tend to be totally smashed. Yet I still want to keep going after that. If the bar closes down at 5 AM, I often end up joining an afterparty and party until noon or after the next day. Then the only reason I quit drinking is that I can't stay conscious anymore.

its ok to have a drink but not to much it doesn't help it makes u worse do and say the wrong thing aswel not well kill you if you drink to much its worse getting a drink when ure upset thats not the way to settle problems its getting out a easy way and never solving anythig but taking things out of ure head is wrong stsy healthy and u will come around to reality and understan drink does fuck all but fuck you i drink hardly ever if i have a drink i dont drink for at least a month or 2 later because i have a set of brains and dont need toxic stuff to take away my troubles

You just reminded me of a joke I once heard.. Ok if I tell it?

A guy takes his eldest to the pub first his first pint.
He says to the barman, 2 pints of San Miguel please.
He drinks his pint but his son doesn't like it, so he drinks that one too
I know says the guy, and goes and gets 2 pints of lager
Again his son screws his nose up at it so he drinks both
Wobbling over to the bar he tries again, this time "I know" says the guy
and gets two pints of guiness, everyone likes guiness he thinks
and once again he son won't drink it so he drinks that too.

Yes, but I hardly ever drink, and when I do it's a glass or two of wine or mixed drinks. I enjoy the taste and sometimes a slight buzz.

I'm a happy drunk. I love everybody and everything. But I only get drunk on very rare occasions.
My wife and I went to a Luau in Hawaii a few years ago and they had the best MaiTais. I got pretty drunk there and had a great time.
We have friends who used to throw a karaoke party at their house a couple times a year. I would usually get drunk and have a great time at those.
The thing is, though, I don't feel well afterwards, so I don't get falling down drunk, and I take care to stay hydrated. I also learned years ago what my limit is and how to pace myself.
I never just go out drinking.

So yeah, getting drunk is fun for me, but I have occasion do so less than once a year on average. It's not something I crave.

Every drug affects people differently. Most people I know love being high on weed, but I just feel like shit every time I've tried it, so I avoid it like the plague now. Alcohol on the other hand is one of the best feelings for me luckily. I'm always a happy drunk and I have full physical coordination. I also feel like my thoughts are much more simplified and positive, as if everything becomes clear to me in life. It's a huge change from the usual negative me.

My point is... it's fine to try stuff, but if you feel it has a terrible effect on you, then don't feel pressured to do it. Everyone's body is different. It's understandable that people want you to experience the same feeling as them and have you in the same mental state as them. It's like when you're eating... you usually want someone to eat with you, right?

I’m kinda like @highlyvolatile except with sugar. If I start with cookies or chocolate… I don’t want to stop. Only the feeling of illness creates pause. I was raised on sugar… bowls of sugar and cake and ice cream.

To your question I rarely do alcohol. I’ll sip a little wine or French pear alcohol that are Both sweet. But alcohol hits me fast and hard and I go for mediocre human to sucky. It’s not a good investment.

I’d rather exercise for my drug!

To be honest I don't like at all being drunk, although I like beer, wine, whisky, etc. and maybe a bit more than recommended. Getting occasionally just a little tipsy is all right. I like the taste of real quality alcohol. A drunk person doesn't taste anything anymore...

no, first off it's very hard for me to drink since it taste like poison or rats piss... And when I do force drink it I feel sick from the disgusting taste which I have to gargle mouth wash to remove.. and also it doesn't really have any mental effect on me.. like I could drink a whole bottle of vodka and all that it would do is make my throat feel warm and my body feel warm, then I feel dizzy... Other than that no other effect.. it doesn't change how I think or make me confident.. I'm exactly the same... Jus tired and dizzy... Doesn't make me wanna party or have fun... Never EVER do anything you don't want to-do and never EVER let anyone push you into doing anything. It doesn't mean you can't still be friends or that you can't hang out. If they are your friend for the right reason they'll be OK with that. If not... maybe it's time to find new friends.

I like being drunk, it's the process to get there that I don't like. I can't stand straight vodka or tequila which is usually what I drink to get the job done.
