Peanut butter is now considered a liquid according to the TSA. Do you agree?

Yup so when you go to the airport and you want to bring peanut butter with you on the plane just remember they see it as a liquid. even the crunchy kind.

My chemist teacher said this already and that was years ago.

Peanut butter, and molasses are liquids. They are just caught in the in-between of solid and liquid, but only frozen would they be a solid.

Liquids take the shape of whatever they're in, and if you were to hold a jar of both or one of these, it would take a really longgggg time for them to fall/ pour out.

Add some oil around them suckers, and they'll surely go lol

I've seen almond butter (like peanut butter) sit in a pantry for some time, and a liquid/ oil was found atop of it, so I'm sure their contents- if they sit long enough- could 100% liquidize, or certainly with warmer temperatures.

It's a liquid, is all I know. A thick liquid.

they are a special agency in the US who check your bags and stuff to make sure you aren't taking any contraband items onto the plane with you... its typically just theater to make us feel like they are keeping us safe when really it only makes the whole process slow as ass. smh

TSA also probably could care less about science, but peanut butter can be used for energy (peanuts) and a fuel because of its oil content and other contents. It's an allergen food, and can be melted. Surely they are putting limits on this BECAUSE of how it can be improperly manipulated for wrong-doings on planes/ in/at airports.

also, I have not looked at a jar of PB in a longggg time, but isn't it also measured in ounces? We can't dispute how it has been rated/ measured for so long. perhaps it's not even safety, but an economical play, and they followed mere readings of PB in ounce format, and decided to make customers pay extra for extra PB?

Maybe the sales people saw PB was quick and a popular go-to/ or tag-along item for plane/ air travel?
