Guys? Butterflies. Do you get them, and what does it mean when you don't anymore?

Do you get butterflies or some kind of physical feeling/reaction (heart-racing) when you see or are with someone that you like/love?

Guys I'm interested if this is only a girly phenomenon. My girlfriends and I have butterflies around guys we are into, does that happen for you?

What does it mean when you don't feel them anymore?

Guys get butterflies too. It's a feeling of nervousness or excitement that causes them. And since both guys and girls feel nervousness and excitement, we both get them. Guys will feel them when we are trying to work up the courage to approach a girl, or when we are near a girl we like. We are concerned about making a good impression and not screwing up, as well as trying to figure out what to say. So all of that will cause us to feel a little bit shaky.

As for not having them anymore, it means that we've become comfortable enough with something that we aren't afraid of what might happen. Something has become familiar to us so we no longer "fear the unknown".

yes we do, it is very similar, fast heart rated, flush, dry mouth, difficulty think of how to say what we are trying to say. there is also another physical reaction that we experience when around some one who we are attracted to, but I don't think that was what you were asking about.

When you don't feel them anymore, it usually just means that you are now comfortable around that person. It's a feeling you kind of miss and part of what makes the beginning of a relationship fun.

I've gotten them even when I'm comfortable with a person if he does something out of the ordinary. Like maybe dresses up in a suit and tie and I'm not used to seeing him so handsome, or if he surprises me/I'm not expecting something.

Yeah I get them. I usually get butterflies if I have a huge crush on a woman during our first few conversations including a racing heart and sweaty palms (is that gross?) and I might even blush. I hate it lol. After I get more comfortable around her it only happens occasionally when I'm nervous about what she will think of something.

The only time I have ever gotten "butterflies" and heart-racing when I saw someone I liked was when I was little and saw Britney Britney Spears. I was obsessed with her. The other times that I've had my heart racing were times when I was nervous.
