Why do I feel as though very few women are brutally honest these days?

I feel like most women are worried about offending people and so they just tell people what they want to hear.

Either that or they happen to be politically correct about everything or extremely wishy-washy.

Anyways I would just prefer if they told everything like it is.

I genuinely don’t like being lied to.

I feel disrespected when people won’t tell me the truth.

I understand the truth can hurt sometimes but the truth hurts even more in the long run if you don’t address it earlier on.

But I guess some men do have fragile egos of course.

I for one can be called all sorts of things and I won’t give a sht.

And so that is why I prefer people tell me things the way they see them. I would rather resolve issues sooner than later.

I’m open to valid criticism (and not feckless name calling) because self improvement is how to make your life feel more fulfilling.

I think there are multiple reasons:
1) Women are educated since their childhood to follow an etiquette, made of fake courtesy, "manners", and a lot of other things that include also creating a general "positive" environment around by not initiating any conflict or to offend someone. Adult women who don't follow this etiquette would be considered rude, socially unaware, weird.
2) Women are educated to not take their rights to be "individualistic" as much as men can, but rather to be support figures, subordinate figures etc, who should look gracious/feminine and express nurturing/mediator attitudes. This can lead them to not put effort in defining their boundaries or what they actually like/dislike, etc, but rather keep everything inside. Those who express their real self to the same degree men do, could easily be perceived as gross, "bro", masculine, butch, feminist etc (by other women too!), or obnoxious in general.
3) Women are not educated to face conflicts and lack skills when it comes to fight in arguments and defend their space and choices. They know they are vulnerable to face attacks and uncomfortable situations without any weapon to counter it, and would rather avoid any possible trigger, in any situation, so that they don't have to get into situations that could highly shake them and leave a mark.
4) Women are educated to be passive with any man, as a role, and so might expect men to lead all the phases of a social interaction, including understanding the boundaries and untold things, and don't feel responsible for ghosting or telling lies, because passive and "secondary", so their behaviours are not supposed to be "remarkable". If they were supposed to be (and feel like) the one in charge of leading the social interaction, probably they would also took the responsibility to guide it and to not give false directions.
All these things won't make a woman "brutally honest", unless you pick those who are considered "rude, weird, socially unaware, feminist, obnoxious". Lying, staying modest and not facing conflict is probably bundled with the same femininity that is mostly attractive for men...

I do it because sometimes what I sense that the person needs or is asking for at the moment is kindness or a pick-me-up. Other times, it’s just not worth the trouble of arousing an argument or resentment, especially when I’m talking to a mere acquaintance.

Women of the human species have generally always been more agreeable than men of the human species. Because honestly can have serious negative consequences when other ape no like. Other ape may kill or torture truthful ape. And that would not be good for survival.

Nobody is usually brutally honest. Brutally honest is usually the excuse of assholes/Karens behaving like they do. You can be very honest with a person if they need it, sure. But most of society isn't out there telling strangers their opinions on things that aren't their business.
