Why would a girl suddenly break up?

So there was this girl that I have been in love with for a year now. We were best friends, but suddenly she became a bit cold to me and today I found out that she blocked me on whatsapp.

So I messaged her on Instagram and she didn't tell me why she was willing to break up our friendship. There was literally not a single reason, our last conversation was just me saying "why don't you care anymore" and her being like "uhh I don't know". She really doesn't make sense. I even asked her to be my girlfriend, but she rejected it, yet she still kept talking to me.

Why would a girl suddenly break up without being able to explain it? And ik she doesn't talk to another boys so she isn't replacing me, but she has depression. Could this be the case?

There are so many possible reasons, but none of that matters.

What matters is that she does not like you in a romantic way. Moving on is the only option, it shows respect to her as well as yourself.
