Why would a girl try and figure out I have feelings?

Ofcourse I've been in pursuit of this girl for 2 years now. We're friends she's shy.

I have my interest be know she declined I accepted gracefully. Then she's been trying to figure out if I have feelings.

I mean I like her feelings are too far fetched. Thing is we meet but she doesn't go on dates.

My thing is I won't open up a lot over text. Unless she meets and takes time.

I'm missing something. How is she trying to figure out if you have feelings when you already let your intertest be known? Was that a very long time ago or something?

Generally though, there would be no other reason that I can see... why she'd want to figure out if you like her or not, unless she liked you. That's the only reason anyone would ever care enough to want to 'figure-out' if you like them or not. If she DIDN'T like you... then she would never ever try to "figure out if you like her" because... since she doesn't like you... it would be ideal if she DIDN'T "know" you liked her. (so she'd never try and uncover whether or not you did)
