Why do people always give me mean looks?

every where I go go people give me mean looks,

even when I’m in a store buying something the cashier always gives me dirty looks one times I went shopping with my sister and law and the cashier was nice and smiley towards her (I was next in line) and as soon as It was my turn the cashier’s mood changed and she gave me the ‘meanest disgusted look… and it hurt my feelings I don’t like when people give me dirty looks it makes me feel like crap….. every store I go to it’s the same thing….. and even in any other public places why are people always repulsed by me?

I have a couple of thoughts... even if they may not be answers.

People are giving you that look IN RESPONSE to something they are picking up from you. It's a REACTION to something that you're "putting out" to them which you don't mean to put-out.

So to you... they seem like unprovoked hostility. BUT to the people giving you the looks it's PROVOKED hostility. They are reacting to (what they think) you did FIRST.

My guess is that you happen to be someone with "resting-bitch-face" or otherwise somehow give off a very definite "hostile vibe" to people. Clearly you're not intending to be "sending out" anything to anyone at all. You're just trying to live-life... and notice people all seem to give you (specifically and in particular) mean looks for no reason. Obviously it's something you give-off all the time, without knowing it or trying. That's why I'm speculating "resting-bitch-face".

When I plug that in... I can imagine this being the experience of someone with resting-bitch-face. But I don't know what you look like, so I can kinda only guess.

The other (less likely) possibility that comes to mind, is if you're stupid-good-looking. I've known girls like that who received unprovoked general hostility... but genereally only from other women. You didn't give the sense that this was a thing with women specifically.

But somehow people are "taking offence" to something they THINK you're doing. Not because they don't like you as a person. They are misreading something you're unaware you're giving-off. But it's not YOU they're reacting to. The reaction is to whatever it is they're misreading. Not to you.

That's what's going on here then! For sure. Definitely. Because that's the whole problem with resting bitch face... the "resting" part. Nobody can remember to make a point to be smiling all the time (and that would look... so crazy). So the cashier's impression is probably formed before you're in front of her, making a point to try and convey "hey... I'm actually not a bitch".

Now what you're supposed to do about it exactly, I'm really not sure. Like honesly it's got to be reallyt hard for you. I've known girls with a BIT of a resting-bitch-face thing going on. But... not to the point that it was a genuine negative thing in their lives.

So far as an explanation goes... that's what it is. People are "picking up" a signal you're not trying to send.

Maybe you need to start wearing shirts with funny sayings on them. Something to disarm people and be forced to re-think their assumptions.

I think that's what you're looking for. Not the shirts specifically (never take fashion advice from me), but something to "disarm" people. Something to make them "think-twice" Before falsely deciding you're a bitch. I donno. get some Whinny-the-Pooh earrings or some-shit. Something to NOT fit-in with the false assumption they make.
