Should girls be wary of guys that are too smooth and confident?

I met a cute guy today at a Chuck E. Cheese where I was there with my son and he was there with his son. He was very confident, came up to me, complimented me, gave me the "you look so familiar" line and we made chit chat. He was very sweet to my son and seemed very good with his son (who is 5). He was very charming and funny and asked for my number. An hour later he texted me "Btw- did I mention you're adorable?". Do you think he's a bit too smooth and confident, meaning that he might be a player, or do you think he was sweet and cute?

Unless you've had bad experiences with these types of guys in the past, it's not really fair to judge someone like this, especially when it's positive things you're noticing.

So to answer the question, not necessarily, if you choose to talk more with him then you might see other things that might legitimately cause you to be wary.

mm well i dont think he might be a player because he has a child but anything is possible. maybe he's just the super friendly type and he doesn't want to waste too much time playing games or something. it could also mean that there is something about you that just got him so latched onto you, and he couldn't help himself.

I think he's good for now. Sounds like he's just confident and goes for what he wants. I love that he texted you an hour later with such a cute text. It's too early to say if you can trust him or not, but I think you should give him a chance. Get to know him better and see if he really is a genuine, decent guy, or not.

It's impossible to answer your question because I don't know the guy and other things could've happened. For example, he might not be a confident person but your personality allowed him to act that way. I just know that it's hard to judge him based on that small conversation

I think being confident is good, maybe a little forward for me, but different strokes for different folks.

there's a difference between being confident and being a dick. So aslong as you feel like he's being honest in what he's doing, I think it's worth falling for whatever tricks he has in store. I mean you're a grown woman, worst case scenario you got a try at something which a lot of people don't and hurt in the process, or you never try and never feel anything at all. Id rather feel pain and potentially pleasure then not feel anything at all.
