Personally, I think there is difference between having a strong preference for a particular race and having race as the ONLY factor that determines if you date someone. in my opinion, the former is fine, the latter is weird.
Like I wouldn't be offended if a girl specifically wanted to date a white guy as long as she also appreciates my other qualities. As long as my race wasn't the only factor that makes her want to stay with me.
I suppose I can see why certain stereotypes might offend them but I do believe there are patterns and that most stereotypes have at least a little bit of truth to them. Sure some will say: "Omg not all of X are like that!" 😱
But, no shit.. A stereotype isn't meant to apply to every person in Group X. It simply makes note of a trend or patteren that is observed in the group as a whole. Maybe you prefer a certian set of physical characteristics or personality traits and while its not true that those traits will be found in every member of Group X, I don't believe that all traits are equally distributed amoung all cultures or races. Some will show up more frequently in some groups than they do in others.
Regardless, I don't believe it should be punished. That's ridiculous. I think their "punishment" is just that if they are too forward about their preference that they probably get turned down by the people they are hoping to attract.

It's degrading because the top girl is objectively far more attractive, but rather than see an individual you see an entire race. You are not attracted to the 2nd girl you are attracted to her race.
However it's not even close to a crime and shouldn't be punished.
I was actually visiting a friend in China a few weeks back and because she got approached by a model agent and because realistically she's not quite model material we were joking about how it's shady af and how her picture will probably end up on one of those "hot Asian women want to date you" ads. And she also said she thinks annoying that guys are so focused on it. And as result of so many men going to asia to find wives, there's always dirty looks and prejudice when she dates a white guy. Even she is well educated and her family is loaded
Her ex basically told her that she broke up she wasn't what he expect from an Asian woman. That's just racist. I have no other word for it. Expecting someone's character to be a certain way based on their race is racist. And yes it's also disrespectful to women. I mean you can find pretty women in every race, you can find submissve or domestic women in every race, if that's what you're after. It's not a crime at all. I think everyone has their preference in what kind of race they're attracted to the most. I think yellow fever is due to the amount of pornos of busty Asian girls lmao. As long as the men aren't acting on the fetish (by sexually assaulting Asian women for example) then it's tolerable. I don't think it's disrespectful to find a certain type of person attractive, but it becomes disrespectful when you just see their attractiveness and disregard them as a human being, like their personality for example.
I'm not Asian but to me there's a difference between preferring something vs fetishizing them. If a guy is attracted to Asian woman because she is attractive, then it's a preference. If he likes her because the fact that she's Asian, then it's a fetish and disgusting.

It shouldn't be punished because it isn't a crime but it is disrespectful for oriental women. It is disrespectful because essentially you don't care about anything about the woman apart from the fact that they are oriental. Don't care about their personality, values or ambitions. Most people with yellow fever frankly objectify those who are oriental with stereotypes fueling their "preference".

Fetishizing is dependent on the preference being rare. A foot fetish makes sense because it's uncommon. A breast fetish isn't possible. It's also impossible to have a fetish for a race because being attrached to a race isn't uncommon.
If you notice, the only two groups that have been mentioned as having fetishes for each other are white guys and Asian girls. I'm not aware of any other races having been talked about that way. The reason, I believe, is probably due to mostly some people outside those groups feeling intimidated and wanting to minimize those groups dating.
Then that mentality got distorted as the person only liking the person because of their race. That's very unlikely true though. I doubt many would date any member from a certain race. They likely just have a preference.
I think that depend on what that is based on. If it's just someone personal preference (based on looks, culture, character) I think it's harmless. However, if it's based solely on stereotypes (like "All Asian women are submissive") that's pretty creepy.

It's a simple preference. Now, if someone takes it to the point of taking up actual stalking, and pestering women solely because of being Asian, and spews ignorance and assumptions on account of it, that is a whole entirely different category from simply finding such women attractive.

I don't think so. I don't think racial preferences are bad. I think most people are drawn to a certain race, but of course there are some poeple of a difference race that they are attracted to also. Generally that race is the same as their own.
