Guys, if a guy's friends are teasing him and he's blushing, are they teasing him about a girl?

I called the guy I like after a long time (he likes me too and seemed very nervous and excited on the phone). I've seriously never seen someone so nervous on phone before 😂😂. He was rambling, talking fast and everything, it was so cute.

A few days later I saw his friends teasing him about how happy he was and he was literally all red in the face, quiet and looked very sheepish when they were doing it. They were like "look at him, look at him, he looks so happy." They were hooting and everything. So were they teasing him about me?

His friends have teased him once before when I entered the same corridor as them. Like all of them left quickly when they saw me and left him alone.
