Why do some guys use haha all the time when texting?

serious question. I've found a lot of guys start their sentences with haha or ha, and then write what they actually meant to say. and its the case where I didn't write anything funny beforehand so it doesn't link up...

Texting is emotionless and when lightheartedness needs to be comunicated haha, hehe, or lol is an emotional indicator of being chill. "Your mom just called." Is a lot different then "ha, your mom just called lol"

Because we like to joke around haha, no one has to think where robots over text. Besides its better in person and its not as bad as spamming emojis.

I use haha a lot. It diffuses what I may be saying or is an actual laugh.

Mostly to try and sound cheerful. You can't convey tone and emotions context through text messages very well.
