Why does my boyfriend really, only talk to me in person?

So we met in early Sept. Started txtnq and callinq each other 4 a qood while, then we hunq out a cuple times and started datinq. and lately I've been spendinq lots of days and niqhts with him. but I havnt seen him since thursday, nd today is wednesday...am planninq to qo spend the weekend at his brother nd wifes house[wife is my bff]..so hopefully he will b there nd talk to me becausr ever since he qot his phone turned back on he seems distant. nd I tried explaininq to him why it botherd me bt he thouqht it was funny..nd it seems his phone is more important to him then me? bt maybe am just insecure because I've been cheated on before? but I turn my phone off and everythinq to qet away from the world nd spend time with him...so I tried to show him how it felt too so I turned on my phone nd replied to any further messaqes.he seemd to notice a bit? but not too much for it to bother him..his brother even notices he doesn't sit by me talk or really anythinq anymore.. but when were alone he blabs on and on and it jus qets me confused nd he seems lyk my soul mate because of the connections between us..and he recently told me he loves me which I thouqht was wonderful..but then aqain I don't and am not the type of girlfriend to trip over little thinqs, bt I am jealous. we haven't had sex yet so that's sort of out the question..he told me he trusts me and idnt have to stop my life, I told him that too..but okay so what am really askinq is, why he does that? what I could do so I won't trip about it? how to know what's qoinq on? should I be worried about it? how to talk to him more? nd thnxx this would b really helpful.. :]

This is just how most guys are. We don't do phone conversations or texting because we don't talk unless we actually have something important to say. For example, I don't ask my girlfriend (if I had one) how her day went at work because the way I see it, if anything actually worth mentioning happened, she would have said it without me having to ask. Talking like that is just not what we do. I think that you can't get him to change, more just you have to adjust to this is the way guys are. Know how guys talk to each other on the phone?

"Hey, Tim. What you doing tonight?"

"Not much."

"Mind if I come over and we play some Xbox?"

"Come right on over."

"Alright, be there in 10. I'll bring beer."

Everything else can wait until we're there in person. And that's how we do it.

It's a universal law. Guys hate talking on the phone. They may sometimes, but that's the exception, not the rule. Don't read into it too much. Guys will talk on the phone when they have something to say or tell you. Not just to listen to you breathe. We don't want to hear about how you painted your nails or whatever it is you guys do. hahah No worries. You're over thinking it.

yes, I recently realized that guys only call or text when they actually have something to tell you or a reason to talk. not just to say 'what's up'

Lol, I haven't used my cell phone in weeks xD .. My girlfriend and I had the same problem, when we started dating, she wanted me to call her all the time and she was upset when I didn't xD. But we sorted things out. :)

I think he finds it comfortable to express his true feelings in person rather than talking to you over the phone. Sounds healthy to me.
