My boyfriend is a good guy, but kinda lazy and irresponsible?

I like him and he likes me a lottt. He's super sweet to me, but he does some things I just don't agree with. He's 18, a year younger than me and lives with his friend, without his parents. I know guys are still kind of immature at this age. I myself didn't get my shit together until I was 19, but that was mostly due to my mental state, with my anxiety and all.
I usually just look past the weird stuff he does or laugh and joke about it because I cannot tell him what to do but SOMETIMES it can be a real turn off. He works full time, so I feel like he should be saving up for his own apartment or school.. he says he doesn't like living with his roommate but doesn't even try to move out. He blows his money irresponsibly on things he doesn't need like clothing. He litters like it's nothing, which is wrong in my opinion.

He doesn't take responsibility for things and always procrastinates when he really shouldn't. He's barely ever sober, although he never gets fucked up. He's just always high, if not, tipsy but this is a pretty common thing where I live. Most guys his age do drugs like it's nothing so that's not a huge turn off, especially cuz i do it too.
I like being around him a lot so I look past all this but I don't know... would this be a big deal breaker?

That guy needs a symbolic father kicking him on the butt to make him productive. Untill then he lives like life is easy and effortless. I can tell he apparently has no plan for his future.
And i think you'll agree that he doesn't bring you anything concrete (that another random guy couldn't).
So if you wanna be mature and objective you should have looked for someone elevating you, right?
Or you close your eyes and stay in your comfort zone like he does, untill the situation becomes urgent.
As a man, understanding that takes a lot of effort, specially under 18. The cons of becoming lucid, or "mature" as you call it, at a young age is very hard. People are not ready to see someone the same age acting like a grown up person, so either his friend would bring him down either they'll cut him off of the group. People are not as disinterested as they seem to be. I know something.
That's a free life tip for both of you. Do whatever you want with it.

He just turned 18 and is still used to being a teenager if not he still is. Once he gets his own apartment and job with bills he has to pay he might rapidly mature in the next 4 months.

As you said your self it took you a year or two to get yourself together and realise how to be an adult.

You are both teens so it isn’t one yet. Guys in their twenties who are like that are called scrubs. There is still time for him to hit the books and get good job experience in order for him to launch himself in to a better future. Another thing is that men mature more slowy so it takes them more time to get their shit together , and that’s ok.

Girl.. he's an 18 year old BOY. Naturally he's not going to be husband material. If that's what you want, you should let him go.

Well one thing's for sure...
it's that he if goes into life thinking he can be irresponsible and lazy and live a happy life, life is going to Road House kick him in the mouth. And it'll hurt, I'd try to explain that to him as he grows up (though I wouldn't word it like that :P)
