Guy grabbed me by the waist, is he into me?

Hi! So I was at this party and started talking to this guy that I'm kinda interested in... it was crowded and we couldn't really hear each other so obviously we leaned closer, and while doing so he grabbed my waist and kept his hand there for a pretty long time... I mean I was just asking him a question, but does the waist-grabbing mean anything?

Also some background information: I've noticed him look at me several times these past few months, but I never know if he's looking at me or behind me, but it's just happened too many times to be a coincidence...

So... does this dude like me or is he interested?

Maybe would be the best answer but it could have just been the best option besides flat out picking you up to get you to move XD. As maybe he also has picked up on if your possibly have poor balance and just didn't want you to make the all to now days classic move of somehow tripping on flat ground. As I've seen my own friends both guys and girls manage to do this.

Leaving me and friends to be like "why physics do you do this to me? XD.

I'd say dont read too much into this and just keep being the unique you and just see if he makes a move.
