What? I alone believe that people are just starting to go to extremes? We take some small problem, put it in the absolute and call it a new buzzword. Congratulations! Now this is the number one problem in the whole world!

well, i think the people who have a problem with man-spreading. Are ether "extreme feminist", who want not only to get the equal rights all women deserve. But tare down the rights of men, because they see all men as evil. And those who don't under stand how different male and female anatomy really is. most i think already know the external differences, but the way the female and male skeleton is shaped is a little different. men's hips are narrower in relation to women's hips, and there center of gravity is up higher around there shoulders then women's are. so, if men didn't spread there legs, they'd fall over when ever they hit the breaks or turned the corner to sharply. as for shebagging, i see both men and women doing it. women do it more often, i will admit. but i have seen men doing it to, with both backpacks and briefcases, so i think it's a little wrong to just blame women.
oh my god can everybody just leave all of this retarded horse shit the fuck alone. i dont give a single flying fuck how much room anybody takes up as long as it doesn't effect anyone else which most of the time it doesn't. so can everybody just take a second to close their mouths, and shut the fuck up about stuff that isn't even a problem in the first gotdamn place
Neither should be illegal, but should be frowned upon. I guess for men it's more reasonable, since they dont wanna squish their dicks. But still, be considerate of others.
Most women, like me would move the bags out of the seats, when the busses or trains seats are filling up with occupants looking to sit. When there is empty seats everywhere, it shouldn't matter I think?
My experience doesn't even remotely assimilate with your suggestion. I've been told to fuck off for asking more times than I've witnessed a woman moving her stuff for a stranger.
Guys sit with their legs slightly apart because they have to. These feminazi bitches don't like it because they're prudes, annoying, and they think its to show dominance. I don't know any real reason except for guys have balls, and from what I understand, it hurt when they're squeezed.
In short, no, let your balls breathe in peace. (Just don't go out in public naked cuz that's illegal.)

Not only should it be illegal, it should be life sentence. Maybe at least temporarily. A few men having their lives ruined is a price im absolutely willing to pay for equality. Maybe for once then men can feel the kind of pain every woman goes through daily.
If no one else is around, then you should be allowed to make yourself comfortable. If it's getting crowded, taking up extra space in general becomes increasingly rude, but being an asshole shouldn't (necessarily) be illegal.

Manspreading is all about men trying to exert their dominance over a public area. Shebagging is all about women trying to set up a barrier to protect themselves from these men in public areas. So obviously if there was limited room in the public area, the woman should contain her possessions as best as possible to accommodate other persons, and men should always keep within the limits of their seat. It goes both ways.
Is it, really? Where has all their other "whiney bullshit" landed us? I'm not really asking, because I'm acutely aware of how we got where we are. But I think you should reflect on it some before unilaterally marginalizing such a valid point.
Update: your link is comical. The daily star is a uk 'comic'. Here it is reporting on a one off 'bizarre incident' that happened involving two police officers in brooklyn, new york, US, at 12.11am. The judge threw the case out and the men involved went free.
i had never heard of this Man-spreading word in my whole life. Never had any issues with this in real life too. Maybe it's because I don't live in the USA... Is this like an American feminist thing?
I'm just gonna say right now that even though I'm a girl, I prefer manspreading. Even when it's on the couch and no one sits next to me, my grandparents will tell me (from the other side of the table so it's not their business) that girls shouldn't sit like that.
And SHEbagging? Guys put their bags on the seat next to them just as much. (where I live, I've noticed more guys going it...)
Man spreading should not be an issue as long as you are able to ask for the seat if available. This is equivalent to body shaming. Some people are larger then others but you cannot ask them to give up multiple seats because they take up additional space.
Manspreading is unimportant. Men's rights issues such as more men than women in Australia are homeless, and more men than women in Australia commit suicide (google it) are way more important issues than manspreading crap. Manspreading should not be illegal. When men are better off in society, society is better off.
You haven't the foggiest idea of how the real world works yet, boy. I've asked many women to move their bags, and not usually for myself. The vast majority will ignore you completely. Roughly equal numbers will sneer, scowl, or tell you to fuck off as will actually move their bag (s) for a stranger.
@Chaz269 where do you live... I've never acted that way and I've never witnessed any other women act that way. in fact, a person doesn't even have to ask me to move my bag or myself, its considered rude to not automatically do so
This has happened to me sometimes and I've witnessed it a lot too - in every case the person who wants to sit down where the bag is just asks the woman to move her bag and she does. I'm not being brainwashed, I'm speaking from experience.
I so agree about the "shebagging". It is very unladylike and also so inconsiderate. When it comes to "manspreading" - if you're comfortable, go for it! (Well, in case you're not squeezing anyone - it's happened to me and it wasn't cool) .
I don't think it should be illegal, but I do think it should be common courtesy to give someone room to sit. I always close my legs a little if someone needs to or chooses to sit right next to me. If I can't do that, then I'd rather just stand.

@Chaz269 where was that in? Sorry, I guess the times have changed. You didn't have to downvote me.

Noted. But then I have alternative outlets for serious thought that do not normally include this site.

Literally I don't care. If a man want to sit like that. I also think it unnatural to sit like a women.

If you ask her to move her bag she will. Have some common sense mate

he is being brainwashed good and proper by the feminaizs and at such a young age, but that is what they do these feminazis. what hope for the world.
"feminazis" 😂
This has happened to me sometimes and I've witnessed it a lot too - in every case the person who wants to sit down where the bag is just asks the woman to move her bag and she does. I'm not being brainwashed, I'm speaking from experience.

I don't really understand the whole man spreading thing. The only time I see it happen is when high school kids get on the bus.
However I do see a bunch of women leaving their bag on the seat. I mean just put it on your lap geez.
feminists are immune to seeing women doing any wrong.
we don't need more laws. people just need an ass whooping.
Yes we need a law to ban feminazism.
