Why is my guy friend is suddenly distant?

We chat each other and he said he did not applied to work i encouraged him to apply and i said to him that you have talent and you should apply (by text). Today he looked me in the eye but act very distant? He didn't want to do project with me or talk with me. Why did he suddenly act distant? Did i say something wrong?

Those words sound like hey you should get this job so you can buy me stuff. If a girl wants you to get a job because the bills are due and she's paying half that's totally acceptable. If she is benefiting from you because of your job do not give her any chance to manipulate you. She will take everything and then move on to the next victim.

I’m guessing he’s close to your age. Usually guys at that point get over their shyness and don’t take the friend route because they know that never works.

But anyway if he liked you and you friendzoned him he might have had enough and moved on. If then that’s not the case he might of met someone else and wants you out of the picture.

If he was a true friend he wouldn’t be doing that.
