Ex on Tinder after just one week of break up?

My boyfriend and I broke up exactly a week ago. We broke up cause of family issues, some minor disagreements we had and a bit of incompatibility in our privacy (I have a higher sex drive than he does). I've been feeling really bad lately cause we were together for almost 3 years. didn't live together but we did spend at least 2 days of the week with each other and texted every night. He was my best friend and I've been feeling really lonely. He told me it would take him a while to fall in love again cause I had set the bar too high.
Today I had this idea in my head that he would try and wipe me off his mind as he always does with things that hurt him and decided to create a tinder account to check if he was there. Which he was indeed. I've never felt so bad in my life. I felt like our relationship was meaningless to him. I won't talk to him about this cause he's single now but this one hurt me like a MF. How would you feel?

I think it's normal for you to be having the thoughts you're having, but for him it might've just been a way to move on and distract himself from having to think about the breakup. Plus just normal curiosity about the whole tinder thing and seeing what's out there, now that he's single.

I only created the account to look him up. I did it with a fake profile and no pic. His was a fully built profile with pics of his dog and a funny bio

Different people take different amounts of time to "recover" after a breakup. Some takes months or years, others take hours or days. I never take long. Maybe a great girl is around the next corner. Will I miss out because I am dwelling on the past? Why would I let yesterday kill tomorrow?

Everyone has there own way of dealing with a breakup. He obviously wants to jump right in again or at least try. You obviously still have unresolved feelings for him that you felt to look. Not knowing is always better for healing from a break up. You should move on, you don't know what the future holds for you. Obsessing is not healthy...

If you broke up its no longer any of your bussiness what he does or what he thought of a relationship. I had friend being dumped, crying, and registering on tinder day after. You need to stop making assumptions and move on

I'd feel similar to you. However, I found that people simply do what they want. He probably isn't trying to hurt you, and probably feels the same as you. Getting on Tinder probably gets his mind off of you. Maybe you should do the same.
