This is hands-down the funniest problem I've encountered on GAG. My mental image of this confused looking girl... standing there... just so so confused... with her arm held lazily aloft... as people passing high five you like you're a rockstar. Hilarious.

Jeez I have to say, I don't have my usual level of insight into this particular problem.
My initial reaction is it's some sort of concerted effort to fuck with you worked up among your people. That frankly seems the most likely explanation. Although... depending on where/when and who your with when this happens... you might already know for sure that that's NOT possible. If it is IN ANY WAY possible... then that's what happened. And I think your friends are hilarious for doing it. If it's not possible...
First, let me say no, I don't think it means you look like "one of the guys". If it's your guy friends we're talking about... then it's the "fucking with you" explanation. But if you're talking about randoms... then no definitely not.
I've never in my life seen a girl-- who I didn't know--, thought looked like "one of the guys" and felt the urge to high-five her. Nor have I ever heard of, or seen such a thing happen. If they're guy friends... sure... maybe that's what it means... but otherwise definitely not.
If we're actually talking about randoms high-fiving you on the regular, then if anything, I'd say they think you're approachable, down to earth and generally a cool chick who looks like she'd be down for a high-five (or maybe in need of one?)... and just can't resist the urge.
I won't lie... I can't see most guys doing this... for any reason I can think of... It's a weird thing to do in most situations. But... clearly, something about you says to them "High-five"... you're sure your friends didn't ACTUALLY paint "high five me" on your head? maybe glow-in-the-dark paint or something?
I would love to know why too... if you ever figure it out.

I think they're just trying to take small steps to having the curage to ask a girl out, you're just helping them out, which is very cool. Keep doing it, you're helping these guys quite a bit. Maybe one of em will approach you sometime.
It's a beginner PUA tactic to break the physical barrier and move towards a flow state. It's more for them than it is for you, which is why I said beginner
