What does it mean if a guy wants to spend a lot of time with you but never wants to kiss you?

Ok I’m starting to get really confused.
I met this guy on tinder probably about 6 weeks ago now. The first time I met him I asked him what he was looking for and he said friends. We get along really well and talk to each other almost every day and also book stuff in advance, like we will go zip lining next week and a road trip next weekend and a weekend away a couple weeks after that. He also does sweet stuff like when I had a big accomplishment I came home to see balloons all over my front door. I was surprised to see that from a friend. We are close when we are together, like he’ll put his arm round me and want me to sit close to him but that’s it. He’s never tried to kiss me and if he stays at my house late and I say he’s welcome to stay over he won’t. I know he did break up from his girlfriend recently but not sure when maybe start of the year?

so yea I don’t get it, why does he wanna see me so much if he just wants to be friends, why hasn’t he tried to kiss me if he likes me? I’ve been hurt in the past and don’t wanna emotionally invest if it won’t go anywhere only to get let down. I’m sick of liking guys that don’t like me back.. guys what’s going on here?

For once that a guy is decent and does not see a girl as a booty, it creates confusion with you.

Fortunately, not all guys are just after getting you laid within 24 hours of knowing you. It is not because he had a profile on a dating site that he is automatically interested in being intimate right away, mainly in view of the fact that he just was out of a breakup recently.

Give the guy credit for being nice and not pushy. He clearly enjoys your company and appreciates you. It does not always have to revolve around being intimate. However, if you have this vision and aim, then you should be clear with him that you want to get to know him more intimately.

You are not doing anyone a favor by wondering what is happening. Take the lead and ask him what his long term intentions are. Perhaps he sees just a friend in you and nothing more since you led us to believe that he only wanted companionship.

So if you are able, I would advise seeing how he acts around other girls that are his friend. What's interesting is that some people just treat people that way, but like he said he wouldn't want to be more than friends. I had the same problem with a girl that was my friend, but she just acted that way around everyone.

Eh, he's a "close friend" but you aren't even sure when he broke up with his girlfriend? Who says they broke up? Him? You are being very gullible. Dude is hiding something. If you don't want to get hurt, I would suggest finding out what it is.

I think that my point of vue here is irrelevant coz the only one who can explain his behavior is the guy himself coz there might be some other variables that you didn't take into consideration but he does!
So what i'm suggesting is that you go ahead since you're close friends and just be honest and ask him !

My guess is he only views you as a friend, or he's too shy to make a move on you. So perhaps you should make the first move, or simply ask him why he's never tried to kiss you.
