This guy kept his feelings for me 7 years?

Well I have this story from when I was 13 and we had swimming lessons in school we are waiting for the teacher and this guy from my class keep staring at me and approached me and went closer and closer almost kissed before that happen I told him what he doing and he said nothing and left and smiled , we went to the same high school and before we graduated he told a classmate that he had a crush on me and the thing he told almost everyone but not me , he was really a shy guy and growing it’s got worse , I deep down knew that he had a crush on me but ignored that , I think the moral of the story is , if you a guy please confess you feelings and tell the person and the thing is I don’t how shy you are if really like or love someone you gone have the courage to ask them and tell them that , he literally had all the time like 7 years and still didn’t, I don’t feel sad or anything it’s just sad for him because he always kept on staring at me and when I talked to other guys he was always looking, that my story for all what do you think about this

He told first friends and this why no time a friend of his made a joke about us being together and second he told a friend of mine and she told me that but he himself never had the courage to confess

If you had feelings for him why didn't you just go tell him? You had 7 years and you knew he was interested.

I didn’t had feelings for him until we finished high school and it’s was too late and also It would be difficult because of different religion
