I was seeing this guy, from the beginning we both said neither one of us wants to be in a relationship so pretty much friends with benefits. All was going good, two months and we went for a weekend gateway together after we came back I realized I will eventually fall for him because there is something special about us comparing to others. He was always saying our sex and time together is very special but I assumed he was just saying what I want to hear. I decided to be honest and end things before I catch feelings. Sent a text with explanation , he wanted to talk but didn’t make it when he arranged. After few days he messaged saying he needs to admit he misses me. We ended up having a chat over texts and I said I’m scared to fall for anyone due to my past. He then ghosted me but kept on looking at my stories as one of first people, I assumed that’s by accident. Then he started liking any picture I post... like wtf is going on in his head? Why can’t he just disappear if he ghosted me

If you truly don’t want a relationship, then I think you were right to stick to that and cut ties with him, rather than keep feeding into that situation. What you did is something that usually the roles are reversed, and it’s the guy leaving first once he starts catching feeling. So with that said, your friends with benefits is probably shocked that you’re sticking to your guns and he doesn’t know what to do with that. Still, I feel like his true personality of being “one of those guys” (ghosting and wishy washy). You’re better off washing your hands of that how you did. However, going forward I’d say that when you find the right person, give them a chance. Your past should not dictate your future or keep you from a happy, healthy relationship with someone. Not everyone is going to hurt you the way your ex/ex’s did, and holding on to that trauma rather than facing and tackling it, gives those men/that man too much power in your life.

I feel your post so deep and to be honest with you I'm surprised this doesn't happen to you often you have a very beautiful energy it's very strong energy and I'm sure there's lots of guys that pursue you.
Most guys that meet you they don't understand what they're feeling they use know that you're like a magnet pulling them in. Who knows maybe you don't even understand what's happening are you an empath by any chance.

He loves you and being scared due to the past is a really terrible excuse if you love him. I would go to therapy but would definitely try to contact him and give it a try. Specially since both parts seem to have feelings for each other.
