Hot and cold behaviour?

I started working at a new firm a few months ago and there’s this guy that I feel an attraction towards.. We’ve exchanged a few (ok more than a few) laughs and long stares and it was nice. The problem is that the very next day, he would act cold towards me (and I get it it’s a work environnement so we have to be professional but to talk to any and everyone except me I feel that’s very strange).

And what’s even stranger is that I was talking to another coworker, we were having a conversation and out of nowhere she just drops that he’s got a girlfriend and the proceeds to stare at me for a few seconds. Honestly I didn’t look much into because it’s not like I was looking for anything to happen or like I was dropping obvious hints that I am attracted to him but I really don’t know what to make my mind up of it !

What to make of it? Well gee, he has a girlfriend, so what are you going to do? Steal him away from her? Be his side chick? Just move on.

Yeah no. Definitely not an option I’m not that kind of gal. But I was more talking about what to make of how hot and cold he can be and the other coworker that came at me. Honestly I’m enjoying myself right now and want no problem but this kind of makes me uncomfortable, it’s not like I asked if he was available or anything you know? And thank you for your input

Why does it matter about anything he does if he has a girlfriend? If you truly 'weren't that kind of gal' you wouldn't be entertaining a guy who has a girlfriend.

Well he’s already got a girlfriend and you’re there to work so focus on your business like they say never mix business with pleasure, I’m sure with your great success you can find another attorney somewhere else out of your own personal work field
