I’m 19 dating a 29 year old at my hometown. I study abroad and he keeps asking me when am I going back again, is he trying to get rid of me?

I started dating this guy 20 days back. And it’s nowhere close to dating, he doesn’t invest a lot of time in me but neither do i. I’ve tried confronting him but he says there is a lack of communication from my side. I try to stay distant because I don’t want him to feel that I’m needy or anything. But since past few days I’ve been trying my best to talk to him and get to know him better. I’m too confused. Why would a guy do this?

He could just be trying to keep distant. Because he knows you'll be leaving him eventually. Just to keep from getting hurt.

Have you ever answered when you're going back? He might just be trying to prepare himself for your absence.

Really, everything you've said about him can be seen in a positive or negative light. Why not just think positive? That he's just trying to prepare and protect himself for the hurt of you leaving. Not that he's looking to be rid of you.

Are you sure he’s not married etc? A married man cheating on his wife secretly will act distant and will only come around when he is bored. I personally think your age gap is too much. I am 23 and dating someone that is 32, however I think there’s a lot to learn between the ages of 19 and 23. I was definitely not the same person as I am now when I was 19. I think you need to break up with him

@asker I personally think he’s up to no good. From the sounding of this situation, I think you can do way better than having a man around that doesn’t seem to care.
