Asked a guy for his snap but after texting Im not sure if I should drop it?

Im in Highschool I found this guy cute and I went up to him and asked for his snapchat. It went good we talked a bit and we were both smiling. However, when we texted he never gave me fast replies, which I understand since he doesn’t owe me one. He wasn’t dry but didn’t seem super into the conversation, he would change the topic a lot. I like to play around so I made a few jokes and I feel like he couldn’t tell that I was joking he even asked me if I was mad once. We texted for 5 days total. At the end he asked what lunch I had and he left me on delivered for 2 days and came back with a blank snap so I left it on opened. Should I approach him or drop it?
