I don’t know how to take this guy?

My gym crush was there this weekend and we spent some time talking and catching up. I only see him on the weekends but I workout 2 other nights during the week. He is preparing to have a busy 2 months that would put him not there on the weekends. He told me that he would see me on one of the nights and said I won’t go that long without seeing you. He then asked me if I had another “him” during the week (someone I talk to and flirt with). I told him no. He said “you don’t talk to anybody? You know it’s ok if you do because I’m not the jealous type” I told him no.

Was he genuinely inquisitive but then why would he add it would be ok if I did because he isn’t the jealous type? I was going to press for more answers but someone walked up and we couldn’t finish our conversation. We don’t communicate outside of the gym so I don’t really know how to take him.

It was actually a tactic to get you to admit if you were talking and flirting with someone else. For instance, it's okay go ahead and tell me that you're talking to someone else, I'm not jealous type. You should have said we're not committed in a relationship anyway so I'm free to speak to anyone I would like now if you would like to change that maybe we can communicate about that
