How to tell if a guy don't want to be your friend anymore?

I became close with one guy recently that I have known for 2 years now. We are friends but sometimes I get these weird vibes that he stopped being interested in me, and doesn't want to be friends anymore. How can I be sure?

You would need to give a time. If you've known this person for two years you would clearly have to assess a lot of habits, pet peeves, dislikes, triggers for him and yourself. But then again do you just recently establish the friendship That's different from honestly knowing him just two years. Let this friendship blossom first before you make an assessment on whether or not he likes you or dislikes you. But if you find him not answering text, phone calls, or emails or even social media; then it's safe to say that there has to be a reason behind it and she probably try to find that person physically to talk to them. That way you get a better answer, from him and for yourself

So then what you saying is the only communication that you have is via, social media and texting? Well for now I suppose that you must depend on that and you yourself must honestly think of the value of your time and the value of this person to you as a whole. The last thing you want to do is sit I think of scenarios of the worst kind and not actually do anything. But you can always continue to sleep make new friends and build new bonds and continuously work on that one at the same time just the same if it is what you wish to do. There's no limitations and if it's a true friend then they will be sure to reach back.

Well when I saw him around I would greet him and if I had time I would chat with him. But if I needed to ask him something then I would text yes. He is the type of person who won't text first but will reply quickly. So I don't know if he will ever reach out.

Then allow yourself to be the person that waits for a small lot of time and speak with him first but make sure it is a matter of importance and not small talk. That way whenever you have words or something that you really need to get out to get it out there and then that also will alleviate you having to wonder or worry because if he can reply back to important things then I still shows that there's interest there or care there versus small things

If he ignores you when you talk to him/message him, that's when you can assume that friendship is nearly non existent. His not actively contacting you is not necessarily a reason: i hardly contact people yet we are good friends

@IMuser Well like we talked for a little while today but he was going somewhere so our chat was short. Most times when I message him he replies quickly or will reply eventually at some point. When you say you hardly contact people, you mean you never text them first?

I am a socially awkward guy: i contact people usually when there is something to talk about. Majority of my friends would contact me for talking (with or without reason).

Let me ask you a question: why are you so bothered by his texting behaviour?

To be honest, I myself cannot tell why I got drifted apart from some friends. It is like these things happen automatically. You subconsciously feel uncomfortable with them or you feel that you are not appreciated or required enough there or welcomed enough there. Things like these, I think, are the reasons people just drift away from you or you drift away from them.
I think they feel like a third wheel or may be you may feel like a third wheel. A member but at the same time, not a member. That can also happen.

Best way to find out is just ask him to be honest, but if he ignores you and won't ever return your calls or texts, than that would be a sign he doesn't want to remain friends.

Honestly I feel that I won't see him anytime soon. But I can't just text him and say "why are you avoiding me?". So I don't know what else to do?
