If a guy takes ages to reply, should you move on?

I've been talking to this guy online, and we both take long to reply, but I reply the same day. We've not been talking for long, but he replies the next day, and once took a few days to reply. He said sorry for late reply. His messages are always long and thought out though, and he always asks me a question back.

I would eventually like to meet up with him, but there's not any momentum going. He's a chef and is quite busy.

Well, you are replying within 1 day, meaning less than 24 hours and that is a perfect time limit. It may not be possible to reply immediately hence that much time taken is fine.

However, him taking several days to reply generally is a sign of him not interested. You said it yourself and there is no momentum so it is best for you to move on.

This kinda stuff really annoys me and I lose interest when a guy gives slow replies.
He may just be busy and not into texting. Make it clear to him that you are interested and would like to meet up and see his reaction. If his replies are still slow, I would move on.
