Why is he doing this?

Ok so there's this guy I reconnected with from high school at our mutual's wedding right? Recently we've honestly been very blunt and flirty with everything we talk about (which is a LOT). Yes, I'll admit we've done the deed before too which is also added onto the more blunt flirting or even holding back with it. We both have admitted we don't want relationships but for some reason he's usually just down to do almost whatever I ask (besides tic tac toe 🙄). I mentioned motorcycles and how they were cool and he took a pretty long pause before mentioning he's going to get one soon. Most of our conversations go that way too, I'd bring up something and he'd mention doing it later. He's just so confusing because one minute he'll be showering me in complements and good remarks but if I mention I wanna do something dumb he'll be like "hey I'm something dumb" or something stupid like "you're my type and you're just short and cute so anyone is willinbg to talk to you" because that's how he is. What does this mean? A person I was explaining this too earlier told me he was just trying to impress me for some reason but I'm still curious.
