Why did my close guy friend start to pull away?

We’ve been close and text everyday. All day. No- there is zero interest from him for romance. There are no current girls in his life either.

In short. We went a day with no text. Then 2 days. Then after 3 days we spoke. Then it happened again. The longest we just went was a week. Sounds silly but after a year of chatting all day everyday to a week feels odd.

Now we’re on day 4 and no text! What do you think is up?

Are built on distance and respect. Each man is an empire and he has business to conduct when ruling over his internal kingdom.

Our friendships for the most part are less intimate than female relationships. His behaviour is fine for a guy. Most men reading your question will find no issue with it. We'd just assume he's off sorting empire stuff.

This is why I don't agree men and women should be close friends. Female relationships are far more intimate and you'll end up driving yourself crazy trying to maintain friendships with straight men.

You sound like a female friend whom I was cool with. But she expected me not to be intimate with other women since we were some what platonic friends. She found every reason to be mad at me for not talking to her. Although she had a boyfriend I didn’t feel comfortable doing what we do when she’s supposed to be faithful to one person. Long story short my few days turned into months. I talked to her for the first time in a month yesterday because she just sent me a thank you text.

now she’s happily with someone. I thought she would change. Nope! She still brings up girls I used to talk to or be friends with. So if I were you I would relax. Or if it’s bothering you that much why don’t you initiate the text with an open ended question?
