Insight on guy behavior?

so I’ve been snapping this guy for a while, he shared his location with me and added me to his private story but then when I did the same he stopped. That was confusing and he didn’t respond as fast as he used to, but he also traveled for a bit so that made sense. I had kinda just thought he lost interest and was getting to be ok with that. Now a few weeks later all of a sudden he’s replying so fast, and wants to hang out and we even made plans to. Just a bit confused by his actions or if this is typical of a guy lol. And I mean I know guys generally don’t go into as much thought/overthink as much with flirting as girls do but I just want to know if this is typical lol. Bear with me cause I’m new at this kinda stuff hahaha thanks
