What should I do now that he's been cold to me since our last misunderstanding?

We're both an introverts. Met online. Have been texting occasionally for 1 year already.

We only text. No vid calls.

We're in long distance situation because of my school.

I have a special feelings for him. He didn't say he feel the same way to me. He just always initiate text. He had also invited me to his house. We don't have sexual relationship. Just pure innocent texting relationship.

In a month, I'll be back but we haven't been texting that much recently bec he's been cold since our first ever fight. I felt like it was a misunderstanding on his part since everything was just in text. I don't care who's at fault or whatnot, but what I hated the most is how I hurt him badly. :(

Because of that, I never initiate text if I sent the last message from our previous conversation. I'm trying to be patient not to approach him because I want to give him some space if that's what he wants/needs..

Should I continue to patiently wait until he wants to text again? Or should I double text him? But again, I don't want to pressure him. My priority is to make sure I don't hurt him again..

What should I do now that he's been cold to me since our last misunderstanding?
