What's guy's problem?

This dude acts cold and serious at class he barely makes eyes contact with me if he did he glance away

But when he get's home he text me and asks me weird things like "why do you laugh a lot?" And even if i ignore him he always initiates conversation with me

And I'm confused why would he act so cold and uninterested at class if he keep texting me

What's guy's problem?
