How to react with a guy trying to get my attention pretending being interested in my friends?

We know each other for more than one year but he is a bit shy.

lately he started to get more confident and invited me to go to the beach with him.

When he kissed my cheek it was very ambiguous he nearly kissed me lol.

He tries to get my attention since a few weeks by trying to get me jealous and saying « oh who is this girl on your story » etc while I know he is interested in me.

I never know how to react to this.. any advice?

I think he is shy and insecure do that’s why he tries indirectly…. But I don’t like this method. I don’t know what to do
