Guys, is he being polite or interested?

Recently went out and hooked up with a guy. Neither one of us said anything for a week and a half after. I texted him hey stranger how are you type text a week and a half after the hook up. He texts back asking saying what he has been up to and asks how the new job I started is and i reply back saying how it is and he texts back sympathizing in the transition period of job phase. I text him back but send a text that didn't require a response back. I haven’t heard anything since. A week later he watched an Instagram story of mine but we don’t follow each other. Is he interested or just being polite?

Makes perfect sense when you explain it like that. I should add…After i noticed he was keeping tabs on me I reached out to him asking if he has any big plans for his weekend and I got ghosted, points again to emotional immaturity. I imagine he will circle back at some point
