So this guy I work with, he's been showing couple obvious signs that he is interested.
He's an extrovert, talkative guy and I'm completely the opposite - shy, quiet, don't talk much.
So the other day I accidentally touched his hand, we both smiled he made this big smile and lingered a little bit. He probably thought I made a move because he was approaching more and being extra attentive the next day.
The problem is he always talks to me the wrong time when im busy, in the middle of something. so I couldn't really engage when he was more approaching the next day.
The following week, he came over and said hi but I could see he was being distant, not bothered to start a conversation (like he used to). I asked him how his weekend was and he got all excited again and went on and on about what he did. He later went out of his way to come see me at my desk and asked me if I had any plans for the weekend, asked couple more questions.
I just don't really get why he's being distant whenever I don't give him 'enough attention' ?
it's not even like I'm ever avoiding him or anything though. I've been treating him always the same way, he's the one being hot and cold.
I kind of understand where he's coming from, he's very talkative guy has no problem talk about anything everything where as I'm very quiet and really bad at keep the conversation going I might have come off aloof sometimes.
do you think he's being distant because he is discouraged? afraid he's scaring me?
I just want to find out the state of his mind when he being distant.
