Why does he want to go 50/50 on little stuff?

So yeah I'll pitch in on vacations, I bought him food and gifts just because. I've asked my boyfriend for help in the past about needing help with my car but that was rare. He helped his exes with it so I didn't think it was an issue. So now it feels like he wants to go 50/50 on little things or stuff he wants instead of what he needs. So recently he asked could I pitch in to get him a ps5 I'm like sure but maybe when I get paid, then he just went ahead and bought it. Another time he wanted to go half on a video game which is like $60 I paid half. It feels like he's keeping tabs and is acting as if I need to go half on little things he can afford just because he helped me with things in the past. Like he makes way more than I do and the only reason I asked for help with things was because I actually needed it and was short on cash. After while he started to complain about that too saying it was too much which was $200 but he paid over $1000 for gifts without an issue.

He isn’t entitled to anything. But don’t expect someone to do anything for you that you won’t do yourself.


But if he’s begging for stuff and he can’t take no for a answer. This is a probelm

I’m his past relationships he probably wasn’t getting favors returned and felt used. That’s on him for spending more than he needs to in past situations.
