This is a good question, but I think most of the answers here are wrong or incomplete.

This is a question of morals and mental/emotional strength, because that's what's going to determine whether a man cheats or not.

You can find a few individual examples of men at ANY level who cheat, but that's not helpful. What IS helpful is to figure out the ODDS (or the RATE) of cheating for any given group.

Who is most likely to cheat? Men with low morals. Who are those men? For the most part, those are going to be men from the lower income class (who, as a whole, have much lower morals than average) AND the top 10% most attractive men who have endless opportunity and are thus far more likely to feel entitled and narcissistic (selfish and self-centered). In other words, men at the very top of the scale, and perhaps men at the bottom 1/3 of the scale. The men in-between those two points are the ones most likely to have higher morals, and are far less likely to cheat.

Again, I'm not saying you can't find a few individuals - this is not a 100% guarantee - but if you followed 10,000 men over a 10 year period, my assertion is that the lowest rate of cheating - by far - would be found among that middle group of men.

But most women will pick men that they KNOW, full well, are likely to cheat on them. Most women WANT that drama and that chaos and "excitement" - they feed on it. Lots of women are happy to date men who cheat on their existing wife or girlfriend with her, and then pretend to be surprised when he cheats on her with the next girl. And when that relationship ends, she'll choose another cheater.

And that's fine - women can do whatever they want to do - but they also need to be aware that most men know exactly who they are, and most men automatically categorize such women as "for recreational use only" - meaning: they'll bang you, but they would never commit to you or take you seriously as a relationship partner. This is ESPECIALLY true of the Chads and Tyrones that you find most attractive.

Your behavior and choices will affect your long-term outcome. You might believe otherwise, but you'll eventually learn - usually the hard way - that it's true.

About half of the men never cheat in their lives, so the average of all guys is in between.

It is not a good strategy to choose an unattractive man to prevent cheating. Is that what you meant? The unattractive guy may gladly jump at one of the rare opportunities for cheating that is open to him. You cannot seriously want a guy that no other woman would touch, and the average dude will still have some opportunities.

There are some personality traits that correlate with cheating. It's a bad sign when the guy easily gets bored and constantly needs new stimulation. Risk-taking behavior is also more common in guys prone to cheating. Still, in the end it depends on the individual guy.
