Guys, How long does it normally take a guy to say the 'L' word?

We have been together almost 5 months now and its been amazing. He is very secure in himself and is a real Manly man, which I love. We talk about anything together and overall I can say our relationship is strong, no issues. I am just curious to when he will say 'I love you'.

I've heard him say " ahhh I adore you" but in a joking manner when I do something that makes him laugh, but it was kinda like a brush off thing. He shows a lot of affection and is super protective of me so I dont doubt he doesn't love me but he just hasn't actually said it yet, which is strange to me because I'm the type that likes to hear it.

In no way will I force him or even make it a big deal, but from a guys view what is your opinion on this?

That he just has not verbalise it yet and the end of the day telling someone u love them is easy and most people throw the word around like its going out if fashion but if his actions make u feel loved I would say u have nothing to fear

I think what it is, is that the words go hand in hand with the actions. I know he loves me and in a way i respect him more for not taking the words ' i love you' for granted. I think hearing it just adds the cherry on the cake you know and also is preventing me from saying it even though i so badly want to because i mean it 100% but I trust him and i know he will in his own time. thank you

because I feel if i say it then it would feel awkward if i dont hear it been said back and i dont want him to feel forced to say it now either.

I dont see any other way of viewing it when I tell my partner I love her I'm expressing how I feel I do t say it with the expectations ahe will say it back

It depends on the guy and on the woman. I've never said it. But I've also never met a woman that I felt that way about either.
